James Lewis “Jay” Parker
LINDSIDE — James Lewis “Jay” Parker, 77, of
Lindside, W.Va., died June 25, 2008 at Princeton
Community Hospital following a long illness.
Born November 30, 1930 at Princeton, he was a
son of the late James and Maude Thompson
Parker. He was a member of the Spruce Run
Church of the Brethren and a honorary member of
the Rock Camp Wikel Ruritan Club.
He was preceded in death by ones brother, Joe
Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Frances
Miller Parker; four sons, Frank and wife Jamie of
Alderson, Bill and wife Myra of Palm Coast, Fla.,
John and wife Karen of Livermoore, Calif., and
Chris of Lindside; one daughter, Heather Parker
and her friend Jeremy McMahan of Lindside; two
sisters, Minnie Hyatt of Beckley, W.Va. and Anna
Lee Powell of Florida; six grandchildren and one
great-grandchild; a host of friends and relatives
and a special loyal friend and companion Sheba.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28,
2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Wickline Funeral Home of
Lindside with the Rev. Roger Booth and the Rev.
Dewey Broyles officiating. Burial will follow at Pine
Grove Memorial Gardens in Lindside.
Friends may call today (Friday), June 27, 2008
from 6 p.m. ‘til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
