Minnie Young, daughter of Theobalt and Louise Young was born in
Pennsylvaniaburg, Indiana on the 6th of Jan 1861 and died at her home near
Moravia, Iowa on the 15th day of March 1915.
Her father departed this life in Indiana in 1868 and in April 1869 she came
with the widowed mother, brothers and sisters to Appanoose Co., Iowa which was
since been her home.
Deceased was born in the German Lutheran Faith and in early childhood was
baptized according to the rights of the Church. In early womanhood she united
with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Main Station, Iowa. It can truly be
said of her, she gave fully of her life to others, her life measured up to the
highest ideals of useful and consecrated womanhood. In such a life there is a
heritage for her husband and children and friends.
Besides the members of her own family she leaves to mourn her death, two
brothers Jacob and Louis Young and three sisters, Mrs. E.R. Miller, Mrs. J.W.
Hutton and Miss Emma Young.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church at Moravia, Iowa on
Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Decker officiating internment in the
Moravia Cem. Moravia, Iowa.

After the death of Joshua Hiatt, in 1904, his wife Elizabeth relocated to
Joplin, Jasper Co., Mo. to live near her son Ephraim R. Hiatt. She died on 23 March 1908 in Joplin and is buried next to her son, Ephraim at Fairview Cem. in Joplin.

Elizabeth Hiatt, 71 years old, died at her residence on East Seventh St. at Moonshine Hill, at 5:50 o'clock yesterday morning. Funeral sercives will be held from the residence to Fairview Cem at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
